Kayaking for Absolute Beginners

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

With many dates to choose from, these one evening courses will focus on:

• kayak parts/terminology
• required safety equipment
• outfitting your kayak/foot braces
• launching and landing techniques
• body positioning/posture
• basic paddling strokes (forward, reverse and sweeps)

There is a minimum of three students required for each course and a maximum of twelve.  Rescheduling will occur in the event that student minimums are not met. In the event of extreme weather (lightning, high winds, heavy rain), courses will be rescheduled. Participants will receive a list of required gear upon registering and you must provide your own equipment. 

Course Fee: $65.00 for non-members, $55.00 for Paddle Manitoba Members

To register, fill out and sign the course registration form and the Paddle Canada waiver form, then e-mail the completed forms along with an e-transfer for the course fee to: Treasurer.paddlemanitoba@gmail.com

Join us for a stand up paddleboard clinic with all equipment provided and Paddle Canada certified instructor to help you "find your flow" to enjoy summer on the water! Beginners welcome! 

$60 per person, with a portion going to support the Paddle Manitoba Paddle Centre.
